This Model 1010 Console Vault is equipped with three (3) choices for locking mechanisms: (1) a high security barrel key lock, (2) a 3-digital keyless lock, or (3) a 4-digital keyless lock.

The gun safe fits nicely in the lower console giving no outward indication of its presence. An excellent place to secure our handguns (or other valuables) when not carrying. We had a problem with one of the barrel keys which requiring some reworking before it would fit properly. Otherwise we are very happy with the purchase.

Overall a very nice lock box for securing valuables or pistols. I”m very satisfied with the box itself, nice sturdy construction. However the installation was somewhat of a pain. The mounting holes in the vault didn”t line up exactly right with the threaded console mounting points, spacing too narrow. Probably a tolerance issue between my particular Dodge Ram and the Console Vault. Had to enlarge the vault holes slightly and due to that then remove some material from the screw heads to clear the inside wall of the vault. Screw heads would have been easier to drive had they been hex (allen) type sockets vs. the included Phillips style.
Once the installation was done, very happy with the box.

It fit like a glove. Super easy to install. It literaly took longer to find my philips head screwdriver than it did to install. Two srews and your done. Good quality also. Just wish the price was a little cheaper. Can you really put a price on security though?

Excellent fit, easy 2 screw install. Opted for the combo lock and was easy to set and simple to use. Easily fits my 2 compact and 1 sub-compact pistols. Has pad for bottom lining, but suggest tool box liner for better anti-slip (but it may just be my driving). Pricey, but worth it!

Good product, but the installation instructions were non-existent. After removing my center seat cushion and console I realized how this thing installs. The screws are a pain in the rear end to get to with a screw driver. The design should be adjusted accordingly. I did manage to get it installed though, and I like it better than the MicroVault I was using.
